I just installed this,I had no problems with installation .I'm using lint mint 22.3 ,the latest version. just played a commercial CD it played it with no problems.Linux recognize the drive . I haven't tried the burning feature yet. I have to update the review at a later date.

It's a DVD drive. Worked perfectly. I was able to read DVDs replace the one that was broken. I didn't realize that the open and close button is on different sides for different DVD drives. So the facade that fits over the computer didn't work right but I could still access the button just fine.
