After taking the front panel off the PC and disconnecting the data and power cableS, I slid the old DVD out of the front of the PC. This drive was exactly the same size as the old one and slid the back in from the front. I then attached the 2 cables and placed one screw in the side to secure the drive to the PC. I booted the PC and Windows recognized the drive without displaying any dialogs boxes. I burned a DVD and a CD and they both played perfectly.

and I'm one of them. My old LG gave up the ghost so I saw this one and figure I'd give it a spin (pun intended). It's low noise for CD drive I'm guessing the case I put it in helps too. I've ripped about 10+ discs already into my PC and all is well.
