★★★★★Want 100% on your CD rips? Get this drive!
I'd been ripping CD's with dbPoweramp, and my external drive kept failing to give me 100% on my songs... I thought my CD's were just old and I had to deal with it. Well... after looking up a few things, I found raving reviews about this drive and its ability to rip CD's flawlessly. Ladies and gentlemen... I was not disappointed! This drive, for such a cheap price, is incredible at ripping CD's! Some CD's that I had long thought hopeless are now in flawless FLAC format on my master music drive. Amazing drive, will always have one of these for every PC I build until lossless formats become downloadable! THANK YOU!!! <3 <3

★★★★★accurate and extremely durable player
I purchased this in December 2023, to back up my CD collection to .flac files. Since then, I have ripped 809 CD's with no problems. I had used a couple different, older laptops on the past to rip CD's and I had a lot of issues with CD's having too many errors to accurately rip. With this player I haven't had any issues at all. I use Exact Audio Copy, which verifies your rip for accuracy and I have found this drive to be extremely accurate. Last night I was ripping a CD when I heard a very loud Pop!! noise. I thought something fell off the wall. I finally heard the CD player making a weird whining noise... I had to unplug it to shut it off and when I moved it (it's in an external drive holder on my desk), it sounded like a maraca inside.. I removed the drive from the enclosure and disassembled it, when I got the cover open, rice sized pieces of the CD came pouring out.. the CD had exploded! The crazy part was, I poured all the little pieces of the CD out, kind of blew it off a little and put it back together and it still works! I ripped another 3 CD's after putting it back together and it works perfectly! I'm amazed by the durability of this player... seriously amazed.

★★★★★SOLVED MAJOR ISSUE,...BUT
DOOR of player was popping open erratically for over a month had issues,...THOUGHT it was the cable_wrong. THOUGHT it was my BIOS_wrong. THOUGHT the player was defective_wrong again. What it was is a simple matter of adjusting the distance of the player in the TOWER case to where pressure was to be applied to trigger door to open. Once I finally got that wright bingo! Issue resolved. BUT I still detract 1 star because there are older DVD files back from a SysteMAX WindowsME DVD that this player can't read so I have DVD files that unless I use an older DVD RW I can't get to. SADLY! When the door of the player would keep popping open and would not stay closed... after spending much time (thinking it could be my BIOS?), finally I thought could it be the cable, unplugged it plugged in an old SATA cable and the issue vanished - so I'm not happy about a brand new bad cable.
